Industrial Hygiene Services

Services are conducted by or are under the direction of experienced Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIHs). Examples are listed below.

Air Monitoring/Exposure Assessments:

  • Identify potential hazards with industrial hygiene surveys that document workplace conditions in reference to OSHA and other occupational exposure criteria
  • Evaluate confined space and entry monitoring protocols
  • Evaluate workers’ compensation claims
  • Reconstruct exposure/dose scenarios

Asbestos and Other Contaminant Surveys and Support

  • Reduce exposure risk with initial and scheduled identification management surveys for asbestos
  • Ensure compliance with AHERA inspections
  • Provide management plans, oversight, and monitoring for environmental contaminants

Facility Audits

  • Occupational safety and health audits determine OSHA and/or corporate compliance status

Industrial Hygiene Staff and Program Development

Metalworking Fluids

  • Compare air sampling results to NIOSH/OSHA/TLV® standards/guidelines
  • Determine occupational exposure limits for those still evolving
  • Analyze fluid samples for microbial content to support site management program

Monitoring Program Design

  • Community noise surveys for comparison to local noise ordinances and community norms

Respiratory Protection and Respirator Fit Testing

  • Qualitative and quantitative fit testing services
