Assistance with compliance under the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
Assistance with prevention, cost control, decisions pertaining to second opinions, appropriateness of care, and return-to-work policies/programs for non-occupational and occupational injuries and illnesses.
24 hour / 7 days per week consultation coverage for after-hour occupational health emergencies such as emergency evacuation from offshore locations or illness clusters potentially secondary to occupational exposure.
Assistance in the development and management of corporate employee health promotion and disease prevention programs including travel medicine.
Assistance will be provided in evaluation of environmental health issues including "sick building" syndrome and occupational health hazard assessments of potential exposures in the workplace.
Assistance provided in the development and implementation of standards for policies and procedures of periodic health surveillance examinations that may be required under applicable OSHA or company requirements.
Assistance in the development and management of medical policies and procedures (such as drug screening and pre-placement examination). Review, revision, and approval of occupational health nursing protocols will be provided annually. Liaison with local supervising physicians.
MRO Certified physician consultation on compliance with Drug-Free Workplace programs and verification of all drug-test positive results.
Assistance in the development, management and implementation of medical surveillance programs, and the interpretation of employee monitoring results.
Evaluation of corporate occupational health program requirements and components in terms of scientific justification, regulatory and legal requirements, and value to business.
Evaluation of corporate databases to determine magnitude and nature of productivity loss secondary to medically related absenteeism. Design of medically-related absence management programs to recover lost productivity.
Assistance in obtaining and maintaining regulatory compliance in occupational health including cotton dust, respiratory protection, recordkeeping, bloodborne pathogen, and medical surveillance standards. |
