Workplace Group's Respirator Fit Testing Workshop provides those conducting or overseeing fit-testing with the knowledge and techniques necessary to successfully conduct qualitative and quantitative respirator fit testing.
The course combines lecture and hands-on activities so that attendees learn to properly conduct fit testing according to the OSHA protocols. A review of the requirements of the OSHA respiratory protection standard (29 CFR 1910.134) is included, with focus on those issues pertaining to fit-testing and respirator selection.

Qualitative fit-testing protocols that are covered include:

Bitrex

Saccharin mist

Isoamyl acetate (banana oil)

Irritant smoke.

Students will learn to conduct quantitative fit testing using the TSI PortaCount Plus.

Materials Provided
Attendees will be provided a course manual.
